Get Involved in the Movement with Conradh na Gaeilge

Conradh na Gaeilge acts as the democratic forum for the Irish language community. The organisation works on behalf of Irish speakers and Gaeltacht areas throughout Ireland and around the world. Since it was established on 31st of July 1893, members of the Conradh have been actively promoting the Irish language in every aspect of life, from legal and educational matters to developing Irish language media and services.

Conradh na Gaeilge currently has more than 180 branches and there are many individual members also. All members of the Conradh work to promote the Irish language in their own communities. This all-island organisation aims to inspire the people of Ireland by offering a fresh understanding of our unique heritage and language, and by fostering pride in our culture.
