Ways to Take Part in Bliain na Gaeilge 2018

  1. If you do not already speak Gaeilge, try learning it for free on Duolingo
  2. If you are a Gaeilgeoir, a Learner or a member of the Irish Diaspora abroad, take on our monthly challenges.
  3. Attend an event, find one here or in this booklet.
  4. Are you interested in organising a Gaeilge event in your community or in your workplace? Call us on 01 4757401 or order a free Bliain na Gaeilge support pack and register your event on PEIG.ie.
  5. Do you want to help with organising a Gaeilge event in your area? Contact your local branch of Conradh na Gaeilge.
  6. No branch in your area? Set up a local branch in Ireland with Jill, available at jill@cnag.ie or abroad with Síne, available at sine@cnag.ie.
  7. Enter the competition An Focal Is Fearr Liom
  8. Listen to radio as Gaeilge and watch TV programmes as Gaeilge.
  9. Listen to music as Gaeilge.
  10. Read books as Gaeilge.
  11. Have you recently used a product that had Gaeilge on it, or that came from the Gaeltacht? We want to recognise companies that are supportive of our language. Send an e-mail with the name of the company to earra@gaeilge2018.ie and they will get the chance to be celebrated as Earra na Míosa (product of the month).
  12. Have you recently used a service through Gaeilge? We want to recognise companies that are supportive of our language. Send an e-mail with the name of the company to seirbhis@gaeilge2018.ie and they will get the chance to be celebrated as Seirbhís na Míosa (service of the month).

  14. Do you use e-mail? Sign up to the PEIG.ie newsletter to get the latest news as Gaeilge all in the one place..
